Bonnie Sibbald

Bonnie is Professor of Health Services Research at the University of Manchester, England. Her career has been dedicated to improving primary health care through high quality multidisciplinary research and research capacity development. She is Director of the National Primary Care Research and Development, funded by the Department of Health, to conduct policy research in primary care. She also directs the Greater Manchester Collaboration for Applied Health Research Care, funded by the National Institute of Health Research, to carry out research into health care for people with cardiovascular conditions and ensure that knowledge gained from this research is used to improve health care in Manchester. Bonnie is Chair of the national Health Services Research Network, representing health service researchers in the UK, and the National Health Service Researcher Development Awards Committee, which supports research capacity development through career development awards for applied health researchers, both clinical and nonclinical.
